I found out, it's an acer orbicam and logitech ist manufacturer. Hi Davey Success :- How: I did not update from vista to win7.

First I tried this with a fresh installed win7 an I succeed: With Google I found an orbicam driver, which was installable installing from device manager. But the driver for the orbicam, also this program did not find. There ist still an "unknown" device only, but everything ist working now. If you want, I'll upload a driver Package for you to downlad to your archive, on my website for that acer aspire ??

I also have an old Acer Aspire , that we use as a surfing machine, at the kitchen table, its so old and used I even silver taped the screen, so it dont fall off : Anyway, i have had the exact same problem, with getting the camera to work after i put win 7 on the ol thing. As you cannot install the program software bundle , it will only run under messenger, skype etc..
